Adoption Application.
Thank you for your interest. We are glad you have come to fill out an adoption application for a Saga shelter dog or cat from our facility. The following information is requested so that our local adoption team can assist you in the process. The consultation and collection of information is designed to help us determine if the adoption is in the animal’s best interest and to assist you in finding an animal most compatible with your lifestyle.
In order to be considered as an adopter today, you must:
Be 18 years of age or older;
Have identification showing your present address;
Have the consent of your landlord (if applicable);
Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet (up to $500 Annually).
Agree to provide proper food, water, adequate shelter, and kind treatment at all times.
Agree to take the animal to a veterinarian for examinations and immunizations as needed, and to seek immediate veterinary care, at your own expense, should the animal become ill or injured.
Agree to license the animal in compliance with the laws and ordinances in force in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, and Belize
Agree to bring the animal back to Saga Humane Society and voluntarily surrender the animal if you are no longer able to care for the animal
All information, questions and sections must be filled out completely and reviewed by the members of the adoption team. Please keep in mind this paperwork is an application to adopt and does not signify an actual adoption. Once your application has been reviewed, and all information has been verified for accuracy, you will be contacted by a Saga representative. Please allow us to several days for us to be back in touch. *Filling out this application does not guarantee adoption.
